James Emborg has been at the University of Iowa since 2000.  He teaches courses in librarianship with an emphasis in critical approaches to information literacy.  He also works in the area of digital humanities, especially related to organizing and representing literary content online.  He has published widely in the areas of critical information literacy and the reimagining of library public services in the age of disintermediation.  He is two-time winner of the ACRL Instruction Section Publication of the Year award and the only single author to win the Reference Press Award for the most outstanding article in one volume of RUSQ twice.
